Medical Acquisition Company, Inc. (MAC) has been assisting persons who have been injured in third-party accidents and don't have health insurance or the financial means to pay for needed healthcare services or surgery for over 15 years. Their only recourse for the payment of these services is the lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) process.
- Prior to being contacted by an attorney on behalf of their client, Medical Acquisition Company, Inc. has already pre-qualified the client and agreed to accept the case. This takes much of the risk out of the case, and saves the physician's office staff from doing the background work. When the patient shows up for their first office visit they are now a Medical Acquisition Company, Inc. qualified patient.
- Physicians who choose to see MAC qualified patients hold their own lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s). MAC does not contract with physicians for their services. Physicians can expect to receive reimbursement for their services that are in the 55% to 100% of billed charges. Physicians receive their reimbursement when the patient's case is settled and funds are distributed.
- Since the physician is not contracted with MAC there are no "Provider Network" fees to be paid nor expectations of the number of qualified patients that must be seen in any given period.
- MAC works closely with you and your office staff, contracted hospitals and outpatient surgery centers to ensure that the physician and the qualified patient experience a smooth process from the first office visit, to hospital admission and through the settlement of the case.
- Physicians receive monthly updates on the cases they are involved in with MAC.
- By agreeing to see patients on a lien(s)/Letter of Protection(s) brought to them by attorneys working with MAC, physicians now have a rare opportunity to increase their revenue substantially, often by the very patients they once turned away for their inability to pay for their services. This is new net revenue to the physician that can and often does have very high reimbursement potential.
